Valencia's Alba craving for Barca move

Valencia left-back Jordi Alba is ready to leave the club and move to Barcelona instead.

According to reports from Sport, the Spanish international is prepared to reject any overtures from Los Che to extend his current deal, which runs out in the summer of 2013, despite their attempts to offer him a new and improved deal.

He has set his sights on a move back to Barcelona, a club he left in 2005 for Cornella after failing to break through from La Masia.

Reports indicate that the Catalans are keen to bring him back to the Nou Camp to replace Eric Abidal, and see the Valencia defender as a perfect replacement.

Alba joined up with Valencia in 2007 and has put in some fantastic performances for the Champions League hopefuls, and his desire to leave will disappoint them immensely.
