Fabregas ecstatic over Arsenal victory

Despite leaving Arsenal for Barcelona during the summer, Cesc Fabregas revealed his soft spot for the North London club.

The ex-Arsenal captain revealed he had watched the Gunners 5-3 victory over Chelsea from home in Spain, and showed how much he still adored the club that brought him to stardom, despite his decision to forsake them for Barcelona.

Right after Theo Walcott scored Arsenal's third goal, the Spaniard fired off a tweet on his Twitter account that read "Theooooooooooooooooo", celebrating his ex-teammate's solo effort.

This was then followed by a post-match assessment of the game, as Fabregas commented: "Crazy game, great victory. Very well deserved. RVP!!!!"

However, according to reports in Metro, the Spaniard did receive some flak after his tweets, that suggested that he should not be concerned with matters in North London after his departure for Catalunya.

He was not the only ex-Arsenal player to be overjoyed with the Arsenal victory though, with fellow North London alumni Robert Pires also tweeting before the match: " C'mon Arsenal, let's win for my birthday".

The 38-year-old celebrated his birthday on the 29th of October, and was pleased that his wish had come true, crowing after the match: "What a game! Thx Arsenal!"

Even Brazilian legend Ronaldo weighed in on the game, tweeting: "Did you watch Chelsea 3 Arsenal 5? Fantastic match! Van Persie scored hat-trick", and praised the Dutchman himself: " Congratulations Robin. Crazy match!"
