Barcelona star Lionel Messi has labelled talks of him in crisis as 'crazy' after silencing his critics with a hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Mallorca.
Prior to the La Liga match on Saturday, the Argentinean has gone three consecutive matches without scoring, leading to talks over him suffering a dip in form.
His treble for the Catalan giants all but confirmed his place the the league's leading scorer with 13 goals and gave him a chance to hit back at this critics.
"It's crazy to say I was in crisis, just because I'd gone three games without scoring", the 24-year-old told the club's official website.
Messi also insisted that it doesn't matter if he scores, as long as the team win.
He added: " I'm not interested in how many goals I can score or not -what matters is that the team won".
Barcelona are currently second in the La Liga, a point behind leaders Real Madrid.
